Tech Seminars specifically directed towards the Tri FIve Classic Chevy have been established for this year's Lone Star event. YOU WILL WANT TO MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND THESE SEMINARS. On Friday at 1:30 pm at the host hotel, Dirty Joe's Chrome Shop will speak about chrome plating, what it takes to get that show car finish and address any questions you might have about the chrome plating process. Also on Friday, at 3 pm, representatives from Classic Auto Air will speak about cooling the inside of your tri-five Chevy, something we all want when driving in the hot summer months in the south! Classic Auto Air has one of the finest AC/Heat/Defrost units on the market for your Tri Five Classic and this will be a great opportunity to learn what goes into a successfully designed system for you Chevy. To round out the seminars for Lone Star, on Saturday we will have Painless Performance on hand at 9:30 am to speak, address questions and illustrate the most popular aftermarket wiring harness on the market for Tri Five Chevys. Nothing can be more dangerous than to have a botched wiring harness on your car and Painless has become a legend in the wiring business. Their staff will show you why their harness dominates the market and what to look for in a first class harness! All of the Tech Meetings will be held at the Sheraton Grand DFW so make plans to attend all three! 4/12/06 - Ronnie and Mary Taylor of San Angelo Win Free Night at Lone Star! Part of the incentives to register prior to April 1st for Lone Star XXIV was a drawing for a free night at the host hotel Sheraton Grand DFW. The Lone Star XXIV block of rooms are all filled at the Sheraton Grand DFW, and if no room is available at the time of your call, they will direct you to our backup hotel within walking distance to the Sheraton as an alternative. But note that rooms are freeing up from another group on April 13th that is not filling their allotment so put a note on your calendar to call the Sheraton on that date to get a room at the host hotel. Also - if you are not registered for Lone Star - you can still do it online or through the mail! This will save you considerable time at the check in for the event so you are encouraged to click the 'Registration' link and get your registration in today! 4/2/06 - Friday Morning's Shop Tour Plans Finalized - Stops include Classic Auto Air and Painless Performance with LUNCH at Painless! Registered participants of LONE STAR XXIV don't want to miss the Lone Star Shop Tour - we will visit the facilities of one of the fastest growing aftermarket AC/Heat suppliers in the country - CLASSIC AUTO AIR. They open their doors to us at where units are put together AND installed. Classic Auto Air has plans to move out of their current facility as their growth has outpaced their location, so that should give you an indication of their future! Classic Auto Air has top of the line AC/Heat/Defrost units for just about any and every collectible car, and you will see how they are prepared right in their Ft Worth shop! The next stop on the tour will have us at Painless Performance, well known as the leader in aftermarket wiring assemblies, but there is MORE. We will see their entire two story facility, and see just how they build wiring harness for any kind of car or application imaginable! Their facility and process is very interesting and you are guaranteed to be impressed! Not only is Painless dominating aftermarket wiring, but they have their sites set on even larger and more aggressive plans (perhaps the new engine dyno we will see is a hint!). We will learn about their future plans and how they plan to grow Painless into a true Performance company! Also, we will grab a bit to eat compliments of Painless Performance while at their facility so plan accordingly! YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS TOUR! You will be impressed at what you see and learn about both of these Texas based companies devoted to you - the car hobbyist! We leave the Sheraton Grand DFW Hotel at 10AM Friday! 3/27/06 - CASH prizes for Lone Star Drag Races!
